Spooner's Six Card Repeat Routine

Tommy Tucker is given credit for the basic six card repeat and
who knows how many variations have been given birth, lived, or
died since the original concept. This routine is an outgrowth of
a routine published by Robert Olson in Sick Sorcery as "Sik Kard
Repeat." The gimmicked cards are taken from Olson’s publication,
but the routine is original.
Effect: Six cards are counted, three thrown away and still six
remain. This process is repeated a number of times. During the
counts cards accidentally drop to the floor, fly into the air,
get stuck on the performer's thumb and coat, and fall to the
floor with a thud.
This is a very funny routine, especially for magicians; however
it will take some work to learn, as 37 cards are used, including
four gimmicked cards. The routine requires the ability to use the
buckle count. The gimmicked cards are not supplied, but are easy
to make. The 8 ½ by 11 inch publication contains 5 pages if
instructions with an outlined summary at the end. The cover
design is by Steve Pressley. Price $5.00
